Founded by filmmaker Tamala Baldwin, whose work has been featured on BET+, Netflix, Disney, Hulu, and Tubi, The Becoming Love Project merges narrative therapy, cognitive behavioral techniques, and trauma-informed care with the art of filmmaking. Through workshops and film projects, the organization empowers individuals to reclaim their stories, transform pain into purpose, and step into a future they control. "Women have always been the storytellers of history—whether through oral tradition, literature, or film. But too often, we don't realize we have the power to rewrite the most important story of all: our own," says Tamala Baldwin, founder and CEO of The Becoming Love Project. "We are creating space for people to reimagine their past and craft a narrative that leads to healing, empowerment, and love."
