Snowbird's submission specifically highlighted achievements during the Rim of the Pacific and TRIDENT WARRIOR exercises over the summer of 2024. Snowbird leased its SAMM Tech deployable manufacturing platform for installation and use onboard a San Antonio class amphibious transport dock during the exercises while at sea. The system was used to fabricate a critical replacement part for the ship's reverse osmosis pump within hours of being installed on the deck of the ship. Without this technology onboard, the ship would have returned to port and been negatively impacted by delays in sourcing a replacement part in a timely manner.
