Winter Maintenance Guide for HYgreen GOMOW Robotic Lawnmower

LOS ANGELES - Feb. 3, 2025 - PRLog -- As winter approaches, storing your robotic lawnmower properly for the off-season is important. By following a few simple steps, you can keep your mower in great shape and ready for use when the next mowing season arrives. Here are some quick tips for winter protection and maintenance.
WHY DOES A ROBOTIC LAWNMOWER NEED TO BE STORED IN WINTER?
  1. Grass no longer grows: As autumn winds down, your lawn's growth slows. It's best to avoid mowing in winter to protect the grass. Before it gets too cold, give your lawn a final trim by the end of October. If the grass is a bit long, gradually adjust your mower's height every five days for a healthy spring recovery.
  2. Time for care and maintenance: One more reason to love the winter break is that it's the perfect time to give your lawnmower some upkeep. Before the first spring mowing, take a little time to clean it up, check everything, and make sure any software updates are done.
  3. Cold weather can damage the device and battery: Our robotic mower features advanced technology, and temperature is important for optimal performance! When temperatures drop below 10 °C, the battery's voltage can decrease, slowing processes and reducing charging capacity. To enhance performance, store the mower and battery in a dry place, away from frost.
HOW DO YOU STORE YOUR ROBOTIC LAWNMOWER FOR WINTER?
1. Turn off scheduled mowing, Open the robotic mower App, and disable any scheduled mowing tasks to prevent accidental operation.
2. Charge the robotic mower at 70–80% in the Charging Station. To ensure the longevity of lithium-ion batteries, storing them at a charge level of around 70% during the winter season is recommended. This helps to prevent voltage strain, decrease longevity, and elevate temperature sensitivity.
3. Use a brush or a damp cloth to gently wipe the grass from the blade deck, the body, and the wheels.
4. Open the Rear Cover and unplug the Safety Key.
5. Unplug the Charging Station from the main power socket, then disconnect the extension cable from both the DC outlet and the Charging Station.
6. Store the charging station, remove the induction loop plugs, and loosen the floor anchors so that you can relocate the station.
7. Ensure the mower is completely dry before storing it to prevent moisture damage. Store it in a dry indoor environment at temperatures above 0˚C (32˚F).
8. Do NOT store the mower with a fully charged battery for longer than 6 months.
9. Disconnect the RTK from the Base Station. If the RTK Station is installed outdoors on a wall, roof, or eave, carefully remove it for winter storage.
10. Check the condition of the robotic mower parts. Contact your dealers for assistance if you need part replacement.
