The Battlefield FCA Jersey Mike's Champions of Faith Scholarship offers two $2,500 awards and is open to high school seniors attending schools in Fauquier, Culpeper, Rappahannock, Stafford, Spotsylvania, King George, Caroline, Prince William, or Fredericksburg City. Sponsored by local Jersey Mike's Subs owner Boe Bowne, this scholarship celebrates the intersection of faith, sports, and community. It seeks to honor student-athletes who stand out as leaders and role models in their schools and communities. The John Clements Memorial Scholarship, offering two $1,000 awards, is exclusively available to high school seniors in Spotsylvania County. This scholarship honors the memory of John Clements, a beloved member of the Spotsylvania community and a devoted supporter of young athletes. Applicants should reflect the values John embodied, including dedication to personal growth, athletic excellence, and a commitment to faith and leadership. The 2024 recipients—Savannah Bolte, John Wheeler, and Calvin Kung—are currently pursuing undergraduate degrees at Roanoke College, Virginia Tech, and Christopher Newport University, respectively. Applications for both scholarships are now open and must be submitted by March 1st, 2025. Recipients will be announced in Spring 2025.
