Thomas and Jake first met in Boise, Idaho, playing in a band called The Rhythm Mob, never imagining their collaboration would take them on an intergalactic journey. Styrofoam Monkeys draw inspiration from their "psychic transmissions" with Planet Tsonggo, home of their otherworldly muses. They also share a love of food, even crafting a chip dip called "cheese dookie" dip and sipping Fresca during their creative EDM jam sessions.

Their music is as eclectic as their personalities, blending EDM, future pop-synth, electronica, and jazz, with influences ranging from Sun Ra and Parliament to Troyboi and Donny Hathaway. As Jake puts it, "We're all about good vibes, great snacks, and living the dream which is to perform at Sizzler during their delicious lunch buffet."

While Styrofoam Monkeys are new to the recording world, they're no strangers to live performance. From New York City's Bitter End to Boise's Blue Bouquet, their high-energy shows have left audiences hooked. Notable gigs include Halloween at The Shady Lady Saloon and Hump's birthday bash at the Policeman's Bunker.

Thomas, a Grammy-nominated artist, and Jake have collaborated with a roster of incredible musicians, but this debut marks the start of their journey as Styrofoam Monkeys. "We've got big plans," Thomas says. "More music, more shows, and maybe even an interplanetary festival!". The duo's quirky charm and genre-defying sound set them apart.
