Carolinas-Virginia Minority Supplier Development Council Welcomed 12 New Corporate Partners in 2024

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Jan. 16, 2025 - PRLog -- CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Carolinas-Virginia Minority Supplier Development Council expanded its Corporate Partner roster in 2024, welcoming 12 new members into the organization. The most recent corporations to join the CVMSDC network are:

1.    EnerSys--a stored energy systems and technology provider for industrial applications. The company manufactures reserve power, power equipment, battery accessories and outdoor equipment enclosure systems.

2.    The City of Portsmouth--It is the ninth-most populous city in Virginia and is part of the Hampton Roads metropolitan area.

3.    McKesson--a publicly traded American company that distributes pharmaceuticals and provides health information technology, medical supplies and health management tools.

4.    The Budd Group--a family-owned and operated company that has provided exceptional services and solutions to facility managers for over 60 years.

5.    Highwoods Properties--headquartered in Raleigh, NC, Highwoods is a publicly traded, fully integrated office real estate investment trust that owns, develops, acquires, leases and manages properties.

6.    Richmond International Airport--Richmond International Airport is the busiest airport in central Virginia and the third busiest in the state behind Washington Reagan and Washington Dulles.

7.    Marmic Fire & Safety--a one-stop safety company that equips retail, medical, commercial, and industrial establishments with hazard analysis, fire and personal safety products, fire suppression installations, and inspection services conforming to OSHA mandates, government codes, and NFPA standards.

8.    Mecklenburg County, North Carolina—is a county located in the southwestern region of North Carolina. As of the 2020 census, the population was 1,115,482, making it the second-most populous county in North Carolina.

9.    Central Piedmont Community College--a public community college in Charlotte, North Carolina. With an enrollment of more than 40,000 students annually, Central Piedmont is the second-largest community college in the North Carolina Community College System and the largest in the Charlotte metropolitan area.

10.  Extreme Networks--an American networking company based in Morrisville, North Carolina. Extreme Networks designs, develops and manufactures wired and wireless network infrastructure equipment and develops software for network management, policy, analytics, security and access controls.

11.  Chiesi--was established in 2014 with the acquisition of Cornerstone Therapeutics Inc. The organizations shared a focus on their people and a desire to address unmet medical needs within the specialty setting.

12.  TIAA—offers comprehensive retirement and investment planning services.

The Council is a membership organization of major corporations, financial institutions, government agencies and universities that operate within North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia.
