PRLog -- The Western International School of Shanghai (WISS) is excited to announce the launch of its Half-Day Toddler Experience, rooted in the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IBPYP) curriculum, emphasizing inquiry-based learning and holistic development.
Starting February 2025, the Half-Day Toddler Experience will provide a nurturing environment where toddlers can explore, discover, and learn through play. Guided by experienced educators, children will engage in activities that promote language, social skills, and emotional growth while fostering their natural curiosity.
Key Features of the Half-Day Toddler Experience:
- Inquiry-Based Learning: The curriculum encourages children to ask questions and explore concepts through hands-on activities that stimulate their natural curiosity. This approach is designed to promote critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Transdisciplinary Themes: Children will learn through six globally significant themes that integrate various subject areas, including language, mathematics, science, and arts. This holistic approach ensures a well-rounded educational experience.
- Bilingual Exposure: The programme offers daily Mandarin language exposure from native speakers via the WISS co-teacher model, enhancing language acquisition in a fun and engaging manner.
- Small Class Sizes: With a maximum of eight children per class, our experienced educators provide individualized attention to support each child's unique learning journey.
- Parent Involvement: We believe in the importance of community and family engagement. Parents will receive regular updates on their child's progress and are encouraged to participate in special events throughout the year.
"We are excited to introduce this programme as part of our commitment to Early Childhood Education," said Mr. Peter. J. Bezuidenhout, Director of Admissions and Marketing at WISS. "Our goal is to create a safe and stimulating environment where toddlers can develop a lifelong love for learning."
