Follow on Google News | DOTmed.com promotes David Blumenthal to vice presidentBy: DOTmed.com, Inc. In his new role, Blumenthal will oversee the advertising sales force, servicing major accounts, driving customer acquisition and retention, and finding new ways to help DOTmed's 25,000 unique daily visitors. Blumenthal's expertise in customer-focused solutions, in addition to his nearly 19-year tenure at DOTmed, position him to play a critical role in shaping the company's success and culture going forward. In 2006, Blumenthal joined DOTmed in a back-office role, but company founder and CEO, Philip Jacobus, quickly recognized that David had the skills to become a sales person and offered him his first promotion. David was soon the number one producer. Within two years, he was again promoted to sales director overseeing the entire advertising department. "David is hard-working and deserves this overdue promotion," said Jacobus. "He is successful because he looks for ways to help DOTmed's clients. He understands that DOTmed's success is linked to our client's success." Blumenthal has been instrumental in launching several DOTmed products. Recent examples include the Equipment Classifieds magazine in 2019, and the Hosted Auction Events platform in 2021. "David's leadership and business acumen have been key to DOTmed's success over the years," said Matt Ulman, president of DOTmed. "His mentorship of our sales team has facilitated DOTmed's growth, while his overall understanding of the medical equipment landscape keeps us at the cutting edge of the industry. I look forward to working together for many more years." When asked for comment, Blumenthal stated: "Helping buyers and sellers of medical equipment find each other from around the world is something I'm passionate about. My work is driven by a desire to create a more sustainable future by extending the life of medical devices, keeping them in hospitals and out of landfills. I'm looking forward to celebrating my 20th year with DOTmed in 2026." Growing up on the Upper West Side of New York City, Blumenthal graduated from the Bronx High School of Science and received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Binghamton University. Prior to DOTmed, he worked briefly in pharmaceutical and financial sales. He currently resides in Woodbridge, CT with his wife Noemi and sons, Nathaniel and William, as well as their dog Milo and cat Tinkerbell. They enjoy spending time outside on their property and family movie nights every Friday. http://www.dotmed.com End
