Follow on Google News | Rocky Mountain Stone Plays Key Role in ABQ Sunport Remodeling ProjectBy: Consumer51 This isn't the first time Rocky Mountain Stone has contributed to the great state of New Mexico: In 1992, the natural stone company extracted, processed and installed several thousand sq.ft. of travertine to the New Mexico State Capitol building. Rocky Mountain Stone is using its advanced fabrication facility and experienced installation crews to help with the rejuvenation of this gateway to Albuquerque. As part of the airport's renovations, which include upgrades to the TSA checkpoint and food court, the stone sculpture base that once stood between the two main departure wings has been relocated to a prominent new position in front of the food court. The expert Rocky Mountain Stone team meticulously handled the removal, resizing, and reinstallation of the base, along with its accompanying information plaque. The team's work was recently featured on a KOB 4 news clip, which highlighted Rocky Mountain Stone's contribution to the Sunport's upgrades. The clip can be seen here: https://www.kob.com/ "We're honored to be part of this landmark project at the Sunport," said Sean Lardner, General Manager at Rocky Mountain Stone. "Rocky Mountain Stone was founded in New Mexico, and we take great pride in being able to provide beautiful stonework to such a significant public space."
