Dentist Whistleblower applauds Alberta Premier's Protection of Free Speech for ProfessionalsCollege of Dentistry Forced Dentist to Cease Publication of Tell-All Book
By: empire concepts inc It is a matter of public record that the now retired dentist had published a graphic book titled 'Confessions of a Former Cosmetic Dentist' about overtreatment within the cosmetic dentistry business in 2010 after the Alberta dental authority had already published a warning on the same topic three years prior. The dental authority claimed the book harmed the integrity of the profession, while Zuk claimed the procedures discussed were a known threat to the public. Information on his book may be found at http://www.confessionsofaformercosmeticdentist.com. Dr. Zuk's pleas to the Health Minister claiming the authority was withholding exculpatory evidence were directed to the Ombudsman which failed to intervene. The dentist attempted to appeal his charges to the Supreme Court of Canada which refused to hear his case. It was only after celebrity psychologist Jordan Peterson, who coincidentally is the same age and also grew up in Northern Alberta, came under professional scrutiny that freedom of speech and regulatory over-reach came into the spotlight. Dr. Zuk says, "Danielle Smith needs to carefully consider what happened in my case and consider how the Alberta dental health system had been hijacked by Old Boys who thought they could use their positions to crush freedom of speech, even when it was an obvious breach of the need to put public protection over the profession's reputation. Follow the money and less than a dollar out of a hundred ends up helping dental patients with refunds for overtreatment or harm. It's time for an independent inquiry as they did in BC." Dr. Zuk is appealing the $180,000 professional fine next Spring in the Alberta Courts. End
