HASTINGS, Australia - Oct. 14, 2024 - PRLog -- If you're a new hobby farmer, you might be wondering about the best way to trim goat and sheep hooves.

In a new video explainer (shown below), hobby farm trainer and educator, Christine Gorman has demonstrated how, while sharing some easy to follow tips.

Using a pair of secateurs, she shows where and how to cut, and mentions the importance of being careful to avoid cutting into any veins or arteries. In the video, Christine explains how to be diligent about preventing rot.

Another goat joins for an inspection mid-trim, while Christine continues to explain the best approach to the work, including the importance of keeping the base of the hoof as flat as possible.

Christine's new series of video explainers will take some of the mystery out of farming for new hobby farmers. She's focused on helping new farmers to understand every aspect from the soil up, so they can make better decisions and avoid costly errors.
