Pineberry Manufacturing Inc. to Exhibit Automation Solutions at PACK EXPO International

CHICAGO - Oct. 8, 2024 - PRLog -- In Booth S-3470, Pineberry Manufacturing Inc. will showcase new and innovative automation solutions for labeling, robotic automation, and printing for the packaging industry.

In the South Building of the McCormick Place, Pineberry Manufacturing Inc. will be exhibiting at PACK EXPO International in Booth S-3470,

Equipment on Display at PACK EXPO International:

6 Ft Conveyor with Autoloader and Rotary feeder

A custom system that feeds plastic or paper "lid," "Card," "Leaflet," or any other media (observing the limitations of size and shape) through a rotary feeder system will pick the "media" using suction caps and then drop it onto a vacuum conveyor. The vacuum from the conveyor will hold the "media" in place while it passes underneath a Herma label applicator. The applicator will place a "label or a patch" onto the "carrier media" (in the same place each time). Once the "Label or patch" has been applied to the "carrier media," it will pass under a camera system that will a) verify if the label or patch is present. This system will run at approx. 120-150 carriers per minute.

Pineberry Cobot MG400 Model

The MG400 is an ultra-compact desktop-grade robotic arm with a footprint smaller than a piece of A4 paper. It is safe for human collaboration, easy to use, and quick to deploy, making it perfect for automating small-batch flexible productions. With a 750 g maximum payload, 440 mm maximum reach, drag-to-teach, and collision detection features, the MG400 is a cost-effective option for innovative automation tasks. It will be used on the tradeshow as a demo unit, and the cobot arm will pick samples and media, small boxes to envelopes where a few subtracts from one position will be picked and moved to another position 90 degrees distant using a suction cap gripper.

1648 C – SF12L Feeder with Dot Jet Printer

The product is stacked in the feeder magazine and dispensed as a single product from the loaded stack. The operator sets the batch size. The product is fed through the feeder exit. During product travel, a Dot jet printer installed in the exit conveyor belt senses the product and prints a preset fixed or variable message or barcode. A sensor counts the product as it exits the feeder. When the product level in the magazine drops below a set level, the low pile sensor will trip. The product can be continuously replenished in the magazine on the fly without stoppages. This system has a catch tray and a remote trip sensor; removing the product from the catch tray will trip the next batch to feed. A remote trip option is available for integration with other systems.
