Ten authors to celebrate 10 years of Greater Naples Jewish Book Festival

NAPLES, Fla. - Oct. 1, 2024 - PRLog -- Ten acclaimed authors are headed to Naples this winter as the Greater Naples Jewish Book Festival celebrates its 10^th year of connecting local readers in conversation with renowned writers.

The annual series, hosted by the Jewish Federation of Greater Naples, kicks off Dec. 9 with author Adam Nimoy, the son of "Star Trek" actor Leonard Nimoy. He will discuss his memoir, "The Most Human," at 7 p.m.

All events have a $25 admission fee and will take place at the Nina Iser Jewish Cultural Center, located at 4720 Pine Ridge Road in Naples.

The festival highlights books about Jewish subjects or books written by Jewish authors and is held locally in cooperation with the Jewish Book Council, the longest-running organization devoted exclusively to the support and celebration of Jewish literature.

"Bringing together outstanding authors with Southwest Florida book lovers is what makes the Greater Naples Jewish Book Festival an annual highlight," said Robin Mintz, book festival chair for the Jewish Federation of Greater Naples, the local event's sponsor. "We invite all community members who love a good story to join us this season in celebration of the written word."

The 10 authors and titles featured in the 10^th annual event, along with scheduled dates and times, include:

• "The Most Human," by Adam Nimoy, Monday, Dec. 9, at 7 p.m.
• "The Art of Diplomacy," by Stuart E. Eizenstat, Friday, Jan. 10, 2025, at 1 p.m.
• "The Goddess of Warsaw," by Lisa Barr, Tuesday, Jan. 21, at 1 p.m.
• "When Women Ran Fifth Avenue," by Julie Satow, Wednesday, Jan. 29, at 1 p.m.
• "The Sequel," by Jean Hanff Korelitz, Thursday, Feb. 13, at 1 p.m.
• "Food, Hope and Resilience," by June Hersh, Tuesday, Feb. 25, at 10:30 a.m.
• "The Boy with the Star Tattoo," by Talia Carner, Monday, March 10, at 3:30 p.m.
• "The Money Kings," by Dan Schulman, Friday, March 21, at 1 p.m.
• "We Must Not Think of Ourselves," by Lauren Grodstein, Thursday, March 27, at 10:30 a.m.
• "The Joy of Costco," by David and Susan Schwartz, Wednesday, April 2, at 1 p.m.

In addition to single ticket sales, festival patron opportunities are available for $136, $250 and $500 per person and include benefits such as guaranteed admission for each event and preferred seating at the $250 and $500 levels.
