By: di Rosa Center for Contemporary Art di Rosa Day presents a day of fall festivities for all ages. The circa-1860 stone residence will be transformed, once again, into a haunted house—an audience favorite of youth and adults alike. In addition to the haunted house, di Rosa Day features interactive wearable sculptures by artist Selby Sohn, and art activities inspired by the exhibition, Moving Pictures: A Survey Exhibition of Works by Deborah Oropallo and Collaborators, with a guided tour of the Sculpture Meadow at 12 p.m. and a Curator's tour of the exhibition at 2 p.m. Visitors of all ages can enjoy spooky eye spy games, food trucks, live music, a costume parade, and trick-or-treating. Ticket holders ages 21 and up receive two drink tickets redeemable for beer, wine, or non-alcoholic beverages. Valid ID required to receive alcoholic beverages. On view in Gallery 2 and various sites throughout the grounds will be Moving Pictures: A Survey Exhibition of Works by Deborah Oropallo and Collaborators. Originally trained as a painter, Oropallo incorporates mixed media techniques, including photomontage, video, computer editing, printmaking, and painting into her practice. Her composite works layer diverse visual sources, often addressing themes of climate catastrophe, political uprising, and gender identity.
