SONOMA, Calif. - Sept. 5, 2024 - PRLog -- di Rosa Center for Contemporary Art invites guests to di Rosa Day on October 26 from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. Early Bird tickets are now on sale, through September 30. Tickets prices increase October 1 and remain on sale at full price through October 26.

di Rosa Day presents a day of fall festivities for all ages. The circa-1860 stone residence will be transformed, once again, into a haunted house—an audience favorite of youth and adults alike. In addition to the haunted house, di Rosa Day features interactive wearable sculptures by artist Selby Sohn, and art activities inspired by the exhibition, Moving Pictures: A Survey Exhibition of Works by Deborah Oropallo and Collaborators, with a guided tour of the Sculpture Meadow at 12 p.m. and a Curator's tour of the exhibition at 2 p.m. Visitors of all ages can enjoy spooky eye spy games, food trucks, live music, a costume parade, and trick-or-treating. Ticket holders ages 21 and up receive two drink tickets redeemable for beer, wine, or non-alcoholic beverages. Valid ID required to receive alcoholic beverages.

On view in Gallery 2 and various sites throughout the grounds will be Moving Pictures: A Survey Exhibition of Works by Deborah Oropallo and Collaborators. Originally trained as a painter, Oropallo incorporates mixed media techniques, including photomontage, video, computer editing, printmaking, and painting into her practice. Her composite works layer diverse visual sources, often addressing themes of climate catastrophe, political uprising, and gender identity.

Early Bird pricing through Sept. 30 is $40 for General Admission, $30 for Members, and $10 for Minors (Ages 5 – 20). Pricing increases October 1 to $50 for General Admission, $40 for Members, and $20 for Minors (Ages 5 – 20). Children 4 and under are free. Tickets available at https://www.dirosaart.org/

Live event volunteers are also needed. Those interested in volunteering should email education@dirosaart.org.

Food and beverages will be for sale by La Casa del Taco and Sammycakes. Beer and wine provided by Lagunitas Brewing Company, Cuvaison, Migration Wines, Saintsbury, and Two Estate Wine Collective. Non-alcoholic beverages are generously provided by Sonoma Market.
