Follow on Google News | Pulse Center for Patient Safety Education & Advocacy Certifies First "TakeCHARGE Ambassadors"Newly trained facilitators will spread patient safety public awareness message.
By: Pulse CPSEA The TakeCHARGE Campaign: 5 Steps to Safer Health Care, which was launched in 2020 by Pulse CPSEA and has run every year since, has been promoted by patient advocacy groups around the country, and has been supported by major healthcare institutions such as The Joint Commission and Sloan Kettering Memorial Cancer Center. The new Ambassadors are mostly but not entirely patient advocates, and the community education they will provide can be either online or in-person, as appropriate. What motivates them to teach TakeCHARGE? Estate planning specialist John M. Zenir, Esq. says, "Patient safety can be increased through greater patient participation in the health care process, and the Take Charge campaign offers five easy and important steps to implement in order to achieve the goal of better outcomes through greater education." And Stephanie Schulz, BCPA, CSA, CDP, adds, "I have a desire to help people learn how to actively TakeCHARGE in their own healthcare to increase their chances for positive health outcomes!"
