Nashville Senior Wins National Oratory Contest

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - May 30, 2024 - PRLog -- Senior Mariana Eidson, of Jonathan Edwards Classical Academy in Whites Creek, TN was awarded the 2024 Association of Classical and Christian Schools National Oratory Award.  This award is the oldest and most prestigious student award, granted by the largest association of Classical and Christian Schools. Seniors from 475 schools all across the country can compete in the award, with each school presenting its two best senior thesis presentations. Miss Eidson's speech, entitled "Live and Let Die: The Problem of Death Denial and When to Pursue Palliating Solutions," was a summary of her senior thesis paper. She will receive an all-expenses-paid trip to the ACCS national conference in Atlanta in June, where she will present her paper to over a thousand conference attendees from across the country and across the world.  Jonathan Edwards Classical Academy is a small private Classical and Christian school that focuses on the great books and rigorous pure and applied sciences from a thoroughly Christian perspective. Their campus is located just north of Nashville.
