Krishan Myrick, Pembroke Hill Junior, Views Building Co-Named after Dr. Donald Cole of Ole Miss

OXFORD, Miss. - March 23, 2024 - PRLog -- Pembroke Hill Private School is proud to announce the acknowledgment and admiration shown by Krishan Myrick, a Junior student, towards esteemed educator, philanthropist, and mentor, Dr. Donald Cole, during a private meeting at the Oxford Creamery.

Although Krishan Myrick did not attend the ceremony honoring Dr. Donald Cole, her visit to the newly renamed Martindale-Cole Student Services Center brought profound inspiration and reflection. Joined by her family, including her mother Kinnette, sister Jeanne, brother La'Nardo II, and father La'Nardo Myrick Sr, Krishan witnessed a pivotal moment in the University of Mississippi's history.

Dr. Donald Cole, a beacon of commitment to education and social justice, shared heartfelt anecdotes about his journey, family, and faith. His dedication to diversity, inclusion, and equity resonated deeply with the Myrick family, who were moved by his unwavering support for minority students.

La'Nardo Myrick Sr expressed his emotions, describing the occasion as a bittersweet full-circle moment. Krishan Myrick's encounter with Dr. Cole ignited a transformation. Inspired by his legacy, she has decided to change her major from Business to Technology, with a minor in Sports Management. Additionally, she aspires to join the Women's basketball team, driven by newfound purpose and determination.
