The genesis of this project dates back to 2020 when Rick Sloboda, a Vancouver, B.C.-based songwriter, connected with Miranda Freimuth, a formidable rock singer and musician from Green Bay, Wisconsin. Their conversations, rich with a shared passion for music's transformative power, led Rick to discover Miranda's untapped potential for softer, more emotive expressions through music. After Miranda tentatively shared a couple of short, raw clips of her singing softly, Rick encouraged her to explore this vulnerability further, believing it's a gift that should be shared with the world.

Crafting the Song
"Beyond The Stars" emerged as a touching ode to farewells and eternal love, offering solace to those grappling with the heartache of parting ways with loved ones. Miranda's deep connection to the song's essence inspired a magical studio session in New Orleans, where the song was imbued with its haunting and mystical qualities. Italian producer Riccardo Dissegna, along with LA-based sound engineer Stefano Moro, then crafted a track featuring a spectral blend of piano, bells and dramatic flair, perfectly encapsulating Miranda's vision.
