MIDDLESBROUGH, U.K. - March 8, 2024 - PRLog -- Last weekend 32 teams and hundreds of spectators descended on The Wired Lobby in Middlesbrough for one of the most anticipated LAN events in years. Katana Gaming organised the Spring Open, all team passes sold out within 11 minutes so it was expected to be a blast and the weekend did not disappoint.

Two days of gaming for hundreds of spectators to enjoy in The Wired Lobby and via the streaming channels set up by Katana saw Noctem Esports run out as winners beating Gamblers Anonymous in the Grand Final.

The LAN event was huge success and really helped promote the Call of Duty LAN scene here in the UK and even more so in Middlesbrough with local businesses benefitting from the extra footfall.

"It was an amazing event and everything I dreamed of when we first set out on this journey a few years ago, the first of many tournaments we hope." said Edwin Ford, MD of The Wired Lobby.

"Incredible weekend, with incredible people ! I am so proud of the Katana Gaming staff delivering the first successful UK Call of Duty LAN in years in the heart of Middlesbrough at The Wired Lobby ! Thanks to all that attended" said Jacques Heffernan, CEO of Katana Gaming.

The Wired Lobby is a dedicated esports and gaming venue based in Captain Cook Square, Middlesbrough.
