Follow on Google News | Creative Visions Announces #CreateConnectCare Mental Health Youth Advisory CommitteeAlarming Statistics Highlight the Need for Action The mental health of young people in the U.S. is a growing concern. According to the CDC, over 20% of youth (13-18) experience a serious mental illness. Additionally, over 40% of high school students reported persistent sadness or hopelessness in 2021. These alarming figures highlight the critical need for increased awareness, resources, and support systems to address this growing mental health crisis among our youth. Empowering Youth Through Creative Expression In partnership with Discovery Education and InnerView, Creative Visions is launching the #CreateConnectCare campaign on March 14th, culminating during Mental Health Awareness Month in May. "We are excited to welcome these bright and dedicated young leaders to the #CreateConnectCare team," said Pat Chandler, CEO of Creative Visions. "Their unique perspectives will be instrumental in shaping a campaign that truly speaks to the hearts and minds of our target audience. We believe their involvement is key to ensuring the campaign's authenticity, effectiveness, and lasting impact." The committee members represent diverse backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives, ensuring a well-rounded and representative voice for youth nationwide. They are passionate about mental health awareness and committed to making a positive difference in the lives of their peers. The Youth Advisory Committee members include Shripal Dupati (AZ), Andrea Torres (CA), Charlie Pokaski (CA), Bryce Hunter (CO), Cyraa Khan (DE), Lillian Huang (IL), Ryan Lipsett (IL), Aliana Kowalczyk (MA), Fariza Samadova (MD), Theodore Vang (MN), Isabella Henriquez (NY), Cindy Cheng (NC), Ryan Richardson (OH), Maggie Stephens (SC), Robell Ephrem (TX), Rohan Satija (TX), and Mattison Pitts (WI).
