From living with mental illness since the age of 7 to navigating through abuse, childhood obesity, health issues, addiction, divorce trauma, custody battles, and poverty, George has emerged as a mental health advocate, CEO, life coach, public speaker, writer, and producer. Despite grappling with serious diagnoses, George has successfully launched several business ventures and started a nonprofit. His journey as a black man navigating these struggles has instilled in him the strength and wisdom he now seeks to share with others. George's story is one of inspiration, and he is eager to impart his experiences to motivate and uplift. Dr. Brittany Case: Time: 11:00 AM - 11:15 AM Topic: Black Maternal Health Dr. Brittany Case, a family nurse practitioner with a focus on marginalized populations and women's health, brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to The Black Health Summit. She completed her master's at Walden University and her Doctorate at Baylor University in Dallas, TX, with her doctoral project centering on Childbirth-related posttraumatic stress disorder. Previously serving as a professor of Nursing at Bethesda College of Health Sciences in Boynton Beach, FL, Dr. Case currently works as a school nurse at Milton Hershey School, a residential school for at-risk youth. Committed to health equity and anti-racism, she serves on the Health Equity, Anti-Racism Committee (H.E.A.R) for the Pennsylvania American College of Nurse Midwives affiliate. Dr. Case's ongoing endeavors include pursuing licensure as a Nurse-Midwife and continuing to serve her community.
