Through her direct efforts, over 300,000 individuals have been personally trained by her in lifesaving CPR techniques at no cost, reaching diverse audiences in various settings, from parks and housing projects to conferences, churches, board rooms, and biker bars. There are few places where she has not taught CPR. Katherine's belief in the accessibility of CPR training is evident in her statement, "If you can teach a child to ride a bike, I can teach them CPR, and that's what I want to do." Her mission is to ensure essential lifesaving skills through CPR training are accessible to everyone. The ReSS Champion Award emphasizes Katherine's role as a global CPR spokesperson and her commitment to advancing CPR education through innovative community engagement. Her work saves lives and instills confidence in individuals and communities to act during emergencies. Notably in 2023, Dr. Katherine Y.
