By: Healthcare Network
"As one of the largest pediatric providers in Collier County, we are dedicated to ensuring that primary medical care is accessible to everyone in the community, regardless of job or insurance status," said Jamie Ulmer, CEO of Healthcare Network. "With extensive experience as a provider, Dr. Anzalone is familiar with the needs of our patients and community and will focus on crafting strategic solutions that align the business with community needs and overarching strategic goals."
After joining Healthcare Network in 2014, Anzalone was appointed physician in charge in 2016 and medical director of pediatrics in 2018. During his tenure, he has provided care to thousands of pediatric patients, while working to improve care for the whole community.
"After serving patients for decades, I know that a healthy community takes a village," Anzalone said. "In this role, I plan to continue to work closely with clinical and medical directors on patient safety, quality of care and clinical informatics. My goal is to enhance and expand our integrated, collaborative practice for the future."
Before joining Healthcare Network in 2014, Anzalone dedicated 25 years to pediatric practice in Pennsylvania. He received his medical degree from UF and completed pediatric training at the University of Tennessee, where he also held the position of chief pediatric resident.
Anzalone has also served as a pediatric professor at Reading Hospital Medical Center and a clinical preceptor at the University of Pennsylvania Nursing School and Drexel University. His exceptional teaching skills earned him the "Outstanding Teacher Award" from residents at St. Joseph's Hospital. For his ongoing efforts to combat childhood obesity in Southwest Florida, he was recognized by the University of Florida (UF) as Doctor Gator.
