ST. PAUL, Minn. - Dec. 17, 2023 - PRLog -- Men in government are typically highlighted for their accomplishments in government. In her new book, Changemakers in Government – (The Future is Female), Dr. Artika R. Tyner places the spotlight firmly on the women of the past and present who shaped every branch of the U.S. government.

An Alternator Book published by Lerner Publications™,  Changemakers in Government – (The Future is Female), is written for youth ages 8 to 12. Set for release on Jan. 1, 2024, the book is currently available for preorder in paperback and eBook formats. In addition to women leaders in U.S. government positions, students will discover the women who are leading today, along with those who are leading nations around the globe.

Young readers may have heard the names of female leaders, but typically know little about them. Tyner's new book explores how Kamala Harris rose to be the second most powerful person in U.S. government and the first female vice-president. Harris broke numerous barriers for women when she took office. She's the first African-American and first Asian-American vice-president.

The author also delves into the life of Amy Coney Barret and her position on the Supreme Court, the nation's highest arbiter of law. She's one of four women currently serving and one of only six women to do so.

Women have made their voices heard throughout history about important issues. They fought for the right to vote, for civil rights, and for the environment. Women in other countries are also making their mark as world leaders.

Women around the world have brought about significant changes throughout history, but few have been recognized for their accomplishments and achievements. Female leaders have been instrumental in bringing about change in small towns to U.S. national government.

In other countries, they've been national freedom fighters. In many instances, they made great sacrifices to bring about change. Today, women continue to work in government positions to bring about critical and beneficial change. They're leading the charge to make a better world for everyone (https://www.target.com/p/changemakers-in-government-the-f...).

Dr. Tyner  (https://www.artikatyner.com/) also wrote three additional books in this series: Women in STEM, Women in Activism, and Women in Business.
