Aardvark Jazz Orchestra 51st Christmas Concert

PRLog -- Hailed as "one of the best jazz ensembles in the world" (Jazz Podium, Germany), the Aardvark Jazz Orchestra, led by founder and music director Mark Harvey, will present its 51st Annual Christmas Concert on Saturday, Dec 9, 2023, at 7:30 pm in the beautiful Church of the Covenant, in Boston's historic Back Bay neighborhood, 67 Newbury St Boston MA 02116. The concert is a benefit for Rosie's Place founded in 1974 as the first women's shelter in the United States. The event is dedicated to Arni Cheatham (1944-2023), esteemed Aardvark saxophonist for 45 of the band's 51 years. Tickets are $20 at the door. The December 9 concert will feature the premiere of Mark Harvey's latest piece, The Gift, in Cheatham's honor, plus joyful jazz carols, spirituals, and wide-ranging American originals.
