LOS ANGELES - Nov. 21, 2023 - PRLog -- The Conga Sports flagship program, City Slams, is set to begin its 2nd tournament on December 9, 2023. Teams representing communities from all over the LA area will compete for the championship. "We have created a series of entertaining tennis tournaments for all players like you and me," explains Rich Neher, Conga Sports founder and CEO. "I call it the 'tour for the little guy' because it will have a look and feel of a pro tour designed to create renewed excitement in the sport of a lifetime and make players proud representatives for the city they live in."

Teams are made up of 3 men and 3 women (with the option of 1 or 2 subs). Each team forms a men's doubles, women's doubles and mixed doubles team with each group playing in the round and gaining points for the team. The match format will be quick 8-game pro sets with elimination rounds. Winners advance while remaining teams continue competing in the back draw. Groups must enter a playful team name and are encouraged to wear spirited team uniforms. It's a fun event to connect with the community and meet new people. Tennis is already an exhilarating sport to watch but the City Slams Tournament mixes in a few surprises to attract even more enthusiasm and cheer.

Plans to expand the tournament will lead to state, regional and national championships with Conga Sports programs spreading across the United States. Conga Sports will be disrupting the tennis ecosystem with their new, unique and more interesting approach - where moving is necessary and fun is mandatory!

The brand is about more than just tennis though, it's about making a positive impact in what we do - on the individual, community and even the planet.

Conga Sports is committed to alleviating the impact sport and business has on the environment. Every year more than 120 million tennis balls end up in landfills. Partnering with One Tree Planted, Conga Sports pledges to plant one tree for every can of tennis balls used within their programs. "Our goal is one million trees planted by 2030. We will grow and conserve trees from the wild fire ravaged areas in the United States to the deforested areas of the Amazon Rainforest."

Conga Sports is an innovative provider of tennis programs focused on making the sport accessible (and affordable) to all abilities and levels of play. Conga Sports offers competitive as well as social and recreational tennis with the goal of creating "tennis enthusiasts!" The company is known for shifting the economic model from tennis players to local sponsors therefore creating a more affordable sport for everyone.
