Vyshak Perumana, known for his extensive experience in distributing over 100 films, including diverse regional productions, commented on the issue during an exclusive interview. Addressing the allegations against Manoj Mishra, Perumana emphasized the need for unity and constructive dialogue within the industry.
The latest incident involves a complaint filed against Manoj Mishra by Sanlisha Patel, the producer of the movie "Pratha," alleging disruptions during the screening of the film in Jharsuguda. Patel claims Mishra and his supporters not only created chaos during the screening but also threatened the hall staff to replace "Pratha" with another film, stating that the film produced in the Koraput dialect would not be allowed in Jharsuguda.
Reacting to the situation, Vyshak Perumana expressed his views on the matter, stating, "Everyone seems to be a judge nowadays," with a touch of sarcasm. He emphasized that no one has the right to destroy any film or career, highlighting the need for a fair and objective approach to conflicts within the industry.
Perumana refrained from placing blame on any specific individuals involved in the controversy, including Manoj Mishra and Sanlisha Patel. Instead, he focused on the broader issue at hand, advocating for a more inclusive and collaborative approach to address disputes within the industry.
"I believe in fair play and constructive dialogue. We need to find a solution that ensures the smooth functioning of the Odia film industry without harming the interests of any party involved," Perumana stated.
