Omnic Enters The Canadian Market To Invest $5 Million In A 1,000 Agnostic Parcel Lockers

TORONTO - Nov. 20, 2023 - PRLog -- Omnic, an international R&D company that develops and manufactures self-service solutions for logistics, e-commerce, and retail, announces its entrance into the market of Canada. The company embarks on this venture with a goal to build agnostic parcel lockers network of 1,000 units nationwide. To realize this vision, Omnic is going to invest $5 million to build an infrastructure and invites logistics providers, e-commerce platforms, and online retailers to join the parcel locker network.

At the core of this initiative lies the concept of openness, which means that the parcel locker network will be accessed by various stakeholders, including logistics providers, postal services, e-commerce platforms, and retail businesses. Delivery to a parcel locker increases operational efficiency up to 4 times, while cost savings can reach 900%. This approach liberates businesses from the burden of investing and buidling their own parcel locker infrastructure, offering an opportunity to seamlessly integrate with Omnic network.

Additionally, an open network is apparently advantageous for consumers, eliminating the need to travel between different locations to get parcels from various online stores and delivery services. All these stakeholders share access to the same parcel lockers, optimizing the process for consumers to receive, send, or return their packages at a single location.

Apart from that, in the pursuit of advancing sustainability efforts in the logistics industry, Omnic open parcel lockers network assumes a pivotal role. Sending packages to parcel lockers empowers logistics and postal services to handle the same order volume while reducing driving by an impressive 62% when compared to traditional to-door deliveries. As a result, the regular use of just one parcel locker leads to a remarkable reduction of 13,845 kilograms of carbon dioxide emissions, which is equivalent to the air purification with 2,769 trees.

Ann Snitko, Omnic's Chief Product Officer, comments on the company's expansion on the Canadian market:"We are truly excited about entering the market of Canada, it is a big step forward for us and the local last-mile delivery industry. Canada has a well-developed market of e-commerce and online retail. This can be supported both for businesses and consumers to elevate customer experience, provide faster and more efficient service".
