Calling all breast cancer warriors: nominations now open for FREE post-mastectomy tattoo coverups

BOWIE, Md. - Oct. 9, 2023 - PRLog -- As Breast Cancer Awareness Month unfolds, Pretty In Ink extends a hand to survivors. Our mission is to empower them with complimentary post-mastectomy and port scar cover-up tattoos, paired with a "pain-free" numbing service and all-natural aftercare. These tattoos are not just ink; they represent hope, healing, and control. We are committed to supporting breast cancer research, early detection, and alternative healing methods beyond reconstruction.

Going beyond ink, we aim to be a direct part of survivors' healing journeys by honoring nominees with a full day of complimentary services and gifts.

This year, we've joined forces with local women entrepreneurs to offer an all-encompassing experience. Nominees will receive a complimentary third-eye sinus facial, complete with lymphatic drainage. After revealing their scar cover-ups, they'll indulge in professional hair, makeup, and a mini boudoir photoshoot. Our goal is to reignite survivors' inner confidence and help them reclaim the beauty that many report was lost during their journey.

Furthermore, these remarkable women will have the opportunity to share their stories through interviews, creating powerful video footage to raise awareness of breast cancer and promote alternative healing methods beyond reconstruction.

Pretty In Ink partners with Lash Moi's annual "Day of Courage," an event that celebrates women who have overcome medical obstacles. On the same day, owner Julie Nguyen and her team honor women who have triumphed over health challenges by providing complimentary permanent makeup services.

A survivor from last year's event testified, "Pretty in Ink made me feel understood and comfortable. Their beautiful, boutique-like studio is a sanctuary." Studio owner, Jaclyn Matikas, expressed her team's heartfelt involvement, stating, "We're honored to be part of their healing journey."
