About Jonathan De Guzman II

Jonathan De Guzman II is a gay, Filipino American director and writer from San Diego, based in Los Angeles, CA. His directorial projects have screened at festivals including Asian American International Film Festival, DC Asian Pacific American Film Festival, and San Diego Filipino Film Festival. His thesis short, The Perfect Post, was awarded Best Picture and Best Screenplay of 2021 from the University of California, Irvine. Inspired by Gen Z culture and his community, Jonathan aims to tell comedic and witty stories that spotlight cool and relatable AANHPI individuals.
