Ultra Runner reaches Tennessee after 2600 miles on Historic 4th Run across America
By: Run For Revival
Coughlan has endured injuries, weight loss, blisters, fatigue, weather extremes, and even the grief of the death of his father in early August. Coughlan has crossed mountain ranges of the Pacific Northwest in Washington, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming and South Dakota through the Cascades, the Rocky Mountains, the Big Horns, the Black Hills and more. After crossing the flatter Midwest States of Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, and Kentucky, Noah has reached the humidity of the South. He has remained resolute and determined as he meets with media, lawmakers, veterans, and the public.
Noah stated, "Run For Revival is my way to bring America together by honoring the U.S. Military and the Veterans. You will find we have much more in common than we do apart, and much of that is because of the Veterans who enrich their communities across America from big city to small town. We thank them for their military service, but also for a life well lived when they return home. Many Veterans continue to serve in the capacity of pilots, police officers, firefighters, business owners, teachers, lawmakers, and more. They hold America together."
His desire to serve those who have served has proved high success. Noah has received multiple police escorts, dozens of media interviews, and has met hundreds of Veterans. He has visited military installations, VFW and American Legion Posts, and met 5 World War Veterans so far. Coughlan carries an American Flag given to him by the United States Air Force and flown in Saudi Arabia in April 2023 in support of Operation Inherent Resolve.
Only 900 miles and 46 days remain as Noah powers through the remaining States of Tennessee, Georgia, and Florida to reach the Miami area and Atlantic Ocean on Veteran's Day. When he completes this 4th Run across America, he will make history and become just the 5th person to cross the United States on foot a total of four separate times.
