Circus Harmony OFfers Free Circus Classes at St. Louis City Recreation Centers

By: Circus Harmony
ST. LOUIS - Sept. 26, 2023 - PRLog -- Starting in September 2023, Circus Harmony is offering free circus classes at different Recreation Centers throughout the City of St. Louis. Children ages 6 and up can learn tumbling, juggling, balancing, and other circus skills at absolutely no charge! Classes meet weekly at Tandy, Cherokee, 12th & Park, Buder, and Wohl Recreation Centers.

Circus Harmony artistic/executive director, Jessica Hentoff, says, "all children want to be like superheroes- strong, flexible, able to fly through the air, and manipulate objects. In circus classes, they can achieve all of these goals. Plus, while they are learning to flip, fly, and fling, they are also learning important life skills like focus, persistence, and teamwork. And, unlike other sports, there is a place for everyone in the circus. We need big people on the bottom of the pyramids and small people at the top. There is also something in the circus for everyone. Maybe you can't flip but you can juggle or you have good balance and can walk on a ball. This is even the place where it is good to be the class clown!"

These free Circus Harmony classes are made possible thanks to the City of St. Louis Department of Parks Recreation and Forestry, The Saigh Foundation, and Missouri Arts Council. Additional classes and recreation centers will be added later in the year.

Circus Harmony youth circus performers can be seen regularly performing in their home ring at City Museum. They have alumni performing around the world with shows like Cirque du Soleil and Les 7 Doigts de la Main for companies like Caesar's Palace and even the WWE! The classes are free and children can register at the recreation center closest to them. Now, they can run away and join the circus but still be home in time for dinner! For more information visit or your closest St. Louis City recreation Center.
