MIAMI - Sept. 25, 2023 - PRLog -- Balanced Justice Network - Changing The System reports that its founder Evelyn Castillo-Bach attempted to negotiate a meeting with the office of the top prosecutor in Miami-Dade County, Katherine Fernandez Rundle, to discuss a second chance for her son Mitchell E. Finlay. Castillo-Bach was refused a meeting.

"I lost my second born son in 2016 to SUDEP - Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy.
I'm not prepared to see my eldest son Mitchell die in prison for prosecutorial unwillingness to correct a cruel sentence," stated Castillo-Bach who is the Executive Director of BalancedJusticeNetwork.org and advocates for criminal justice reform.

On Balanced Justice Network anyone can listen to podcast episodes from Mitchell Finlay. "These podcast episodes are a window into the integrity and goodness of a human being State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle and her team deem worthy of death in prison," stated Castillo-Bach.

The website also gives a concise summary on the case and includes a link to the last legal brief filed by Finlay's appellate attorney Richard C. Klugh.
