MONTCLAIR, N.J. - Sept. 13, 2023 - PRLog -- With the first patient-administered biosimilar therapies now on the market for dermatologic indications, the Dermalorian™ podcast from the Dermatology Education Foundation (DEF) offers an in-depth look at what these agents are, how they compare to originators, and what their availability means for patients, prescribers, and other stakeholders.

Featuring dermatology physician assistant (PA) TJ Chao, MPAS, PA-C, and dermatology nurse practitioner (NP) Leigh Ann Pansch, MSN, FNP-BC, DCNP, the episode tackles the question of which agents are interchangeable with originator biologics and describes when and how pharmacists may be able to make a substitution.

The increasingly popular Dermalorian™ Podcast series is available on all major streaming services, including Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and Amazon Music ("Alexa, play the Dermalorian Podcast!"). Past episodes have covered productivity and compensation for PAs and NPs in dermatology, tools and resources for education and clinical care, dermatologic diseases in people with skin of color, and strategies to manage itch.

"We are pleased to offer The Dermalorian™ podcast as a free resource for PAs, NPs, biologic coordinators, and anyone else involved in the care of dermatology patients," says Joe Gorelick, MS, FNP-C, founder of the DEF. "The DEF is dedicated to creating new ways within unique themes aimed to offer learning self-assessments to advance education with the goal to improve patient care. The podcast is a great complement to our live programs, including the annual DEF Essential Resources Meeting (DERM) and our Biologic and Small Molecule NP/PA CME Bootcamps."
