Dublin's Stellar TBL8 Brass Return to Electric Picnic for Fourth Year Amidst Sizzling Summer of Eve

BLANCHARDSTOWN, Ireland - Aug. 31, 2023 - PRLog -- The capital's favourite brass ensemble, TBL8 Brass ("Table 8 Brass"), is set to electrify the audience with their riveting performance at Electric Picnic for the fourth time this September. This news comes after the band's blistering summer, which has seen them grace stages and events across the country.

Established in 2017, TBL8 Brass fuses big-band inspiration with a modern twist, boasting over 50 years of combined playing experience. The 8 musicians, based in North County Dublin, have become known for their original compositions and arrangements of contemporary pop hits. The band has amassed a robust following, playing at Ireland's most iconic venues and festivals. This includes Whelan's, All Together Now, Cork Jazz Festival, Beatyard, The Big Grill, and Oktoberfest to name a few.

This summer was especially vibrant for TBL8 Brass. Highlights include:

• Dazzling performances at the All Together Now festival.
• Lighting up multiple stages during the Stoneybatter Festival weekend.
• Playing at the request of Uachtaráin na hÉireann, Michael D. Higgins, at a series of garden parties at Áras an Uachtaráin.
• Joining brass band legends, Hyde Park Brass, at Dublin's legendary Whelan's venue.
• Memorable four-day residencies at both the Paddy Power Comedy Festival at Dublin's Iveagh Gardens and The Big Grill Festival at Herbert Park.

However, it's not just festival organisers that have noticed TBL8's magic. Schweppes, the iconic soft drink brand, has chosen them as their band of preference throughout 2023 to launch their "Born Social" series of events, beginning with a thrilling performance at the Chelsea Drugstore in June. Moreover, it's Schweppes' stage where TBL8 Brass bewitched audiences at All Together Now and the Big Grill, and will do so again at Electric Picnic.

"We're so thrilled, but humbled to be able to come back to Electric Picnic for a fourth year," notes founder/saxophonist Aaron Poole. "I'll never forget being inspired watching Stomptown Brass at the Salty Dog in 2016, a year before TBL8 formed. I thought 'that's so cool – maybe one day'. Little did I know that day would come only 2 years later!"
