Tickets are $30 each and can be purchased online. The nonprofit organization was founded by Dr. Artika Tyner to increase literacy rates and support the leaders of the future. A number of corporate sponsorship opportunities are available at multiple levels that includes full-year, along with partnerships encompassing platinum, gold, silver, and bronze Essential volunteer engagement is also needed to assist at the many functions PPGJLI conducts and community events in which it participates throughout the year, to host a book drive, and encourage diverse books in libraries and schools. The PPGJLI fundraiser is an opportunity to connect with like-minded people who are passionate about making a difference, helping PPGJLI grow, and empowering youth through literacy, leadership, and diverse books. Since its inception, PPGJLI has donated over 19,000 books locally and internationally. The organization has reached more than 6,000 children through its Leaders are Readers program. PPGJLI has donated 21,733 diverse and multi-cultural books, has more than 30,000 read-aloud listeners, and inspired 5,658 students. The organization continues to inspire, equip, provide tools, and foster future leaders through the arts, humanities, education, workshops, seminars, and school visits. The organization has instituted a variety of initiatives that includes youth writing competitions, read-aloud events, and teaching about STEAM leadership and careers.
