Follow on Google News | Afrikfest Returns for the 5th Year with a Weekend African Cultural WeekendBy: Periwinkle Group The Afrikfest kicks off on September 22 at 9:00 a.m. with an informative trade and business summit that will spotlight resources available to grow your business locally. The conference will take place at the City of Las Vegas Campus, 495 S Main Street, Las Vegas, NV 89101 Panels include "Doing Business with Africa, Growing your business locally and globally and "The Future is Female: Investing in Women, the Gateway to Disrupting Economic Development." In the afternoon, the community can enjoy a family-friendly Festival, the most prominent African Festival on the West Coast, which makes a statement. This festival is an absolutely free event for the community and will happen at Clark County Amphitheater, 500 Grand Central Parkway, Las Vegas, NV. The Marketplace, "A Taste of Africa," showcases small business vendors, rising fashion designers, live musical performances, masquerades, drummers, and kids interactive games; this year, we will host our inaugural African Adoption Ceremony, music by internal celebrity DJ Ike-Most Wanted, authentic food vendors, and local food trucks. Afrikfest has always sought to enrich the Las Vegas community with African culture, so the doors are open for everyone to attend this free festival. To wrap up our cultural explosive weekend, experience African Excellence at its finest on Saturday, September 23, at the A Night of African Excellence Awards Gala and support small businesses, entrepreneurs, and community leaders. Come to Vu Studio to see the growth and development of a vibrant and diverse business landscape, and help us end the weekend with a cultural experience. 6:30 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. PST.
