In 2023, we finally see a decrease in prices, as revealed by FerryGoGo's research ( While the average cost of renting a small car was about €108 per day in 2022, in 2023, the prices have lowered to an average of around €91.

Data scrutinized by FerryGoGo highlights the following key points:

- Average rental car prices have dropped by 15.4% compared to 2022.
- Nonetheless, over the past five years (2019 - 2023), rental car prices have still increased by an average of 60.7%.
- Back in 2019, you'd pay around €57 for a day's rental, and while this climbed to a maximum of €108 in 2022, it's now reduced to €91.50 in 2023.
