By: SGS Clothing must be tested against mandatory standards GB 18401 and GB 31701 before it can be imported into China. Testing must be conducted by an acceptance testing agency that is either: - Accredited local laboratory - ILAC-MRA ISO 17025 accredited non-Chinese laboratory Reports have a validity of one year and must be uploaded to the China International Trade Single Window platform. SGS has published SafeGuardS 092.23 to help stakeholders understand the criteria for acceptance testing agencies. It includes details of the requirements for applying to the General Administration of Customs for inclusion in the list of accepted agencies, and the criteria that are applicable to both Chinese and non-Chinese laboratories.
