CDS Wolf Foundation Announces 36th Annual A Salute to Veterans Golf Tournament at Oak Hill

ROCHESTER, N.Y. - July 19, 2023 - PRLog -- The CDS Wolf Foundation will host its 36th annual A Salute to Veterans Golf Tournament presented by Idealease, Inc and Christa Construction to benefit the Warrior Salute Veteran Services program on Monday, July 24, 2023, at historic Oak Hill Country Club, home of the 2023 PGA Championship.

"We are elated by the continued show of support from our local community and the participation in an event that benefits Warrior Salute Veteran Services," said CDS Life Transitions CEO Andrew Sewnauth, noting "The participation from organizations like this year's Championship sponsors CaseWorthy/Medisked and RADEC Electric is so important to our ability to keep providing these critical services for local Veterans."

Warrior Salute Veteran Services provides case management and transitional housing supports to veterans diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder, traumatic brain injury, and military sexual trauma so they may transition back as vital members of their communities. The services are provided to the veterans at no cost to them.

According to the American Addiction Centers Resource VeteranAddiciton.org, nearly 25 percent of Veterans have PTSD and one fifth of Veterans diagnosed with PTSD have co-occuriing disorders.

"Warrior Salute Veteran Services provides support to our local Veterans that is needed now more than ever. We provide housing, food, transportation, and help Veterans so that they can focus on their journey to overcome their struggles," said Sewnauth, adding "The program receives no permanent federal, state, or local government funding. We depend on the generosity of donors like those who participate in our annual golf tournament to provide these vital services to the veterans who have given so much for our country."
