About the book:

The Brocklebank Fitzgammon Saga is a fictional portrayal of two families whose lives evolve over some five decades after WWII.

Two fostered children fortuitously inherit a substantial fortune in unexpected circumstances. The older of the two has his Army career brought abruptly to a close when attacked and seriously injured while on an assignment abroad. He subsequently sets about using his wealth to revive an abandoned property in Cornwall, and build a new life and dynasty there.

His sister, whose vulnerability is her considerable allure, opens up the connection with the owners of a landed family estate in Norfolk and follows the slings and arrows of their lives.

The story introduces a number of other characters and places, both in Africa and France, illustrating the diversity and interplay of people's lives. None of the characters in this book bear any relationship to anyone known to the author.
