Charity Provide Comprehensive Menstrual Health Education in Nigerian School

HEREFORD, U.K. - June 26, 2023 - PRLog -- Hope Spring and SuS Pads have just concluded a menstrual hygiene and reusable pad training in a Nigerian school, aimed at providing young women with the tools they need to manage their menstrual health. During the training, the girls were taught how to make their own reusable pads by themselves, and were also educated on menstrual hygiene management, menstruation and menstrual cycle.

In an effort to break the cultural stigma surrounding menstruation, boys were also involved in the training. The goal was to provide a comprehensive education on menstrual health that is inclusive of all genders. To ensure that the girls had access to the necessary resources to maintain menstrual hygiene, they were given menstrual kit bags and taught how to care for their pads.
