Following is a complete list of all 2023 MBCEA Building of the Year Award Winners, the MBCEA members that worked on the building and the metal building manufacturer/ Building of the Year: PortMiami Terminal F Roof Retrofit in Miami, FL. Lemartec Corporation of Coconut Grove, FL served as the GC/prime construction manager for the 30,000-square- Education, Recreation and Religious – Award of Excellence: Springfield Sports Complex, Springfield, MO. Crossland Construction Company of Columbus, KS was the GC/construction manager and steel erector on the 94,000-square- Education, Recreation and Religious – Award of Merit: The Picklebarn, Mankato, MN. APX Construction Group of Mankato, MN was the GC for the 32,000-square- Manufacturing and Warehouse – Award of Excellence: The Home Depot warehouse and store, Houston, TX. Span Construction & Engineering, Inc. (SPAN) of Madera, CA was the metal building supplier and erector for this 116,850-square- Manufacturing and Warehouse – Award of Merit: Costco Wholesale warehouse, St. Augustine, FL. Span Construction & Engineering, Inc. (SPAN) of Madera, CA was the metal building supplier and erector for this 157,522 square-foot facility. Butler Manufacturing of Kansas City, MO manufactured the metal building and roof. Reroof, Renovation and Addition – Award of Excellence: Puritan Medical Products Exterior Improvements, Portland, TN. Design Systems Builders, LLC, located in Nashville, TN, was the metal building and roof erector for the project, which included 195,900-square- Reroof, Renovation and Addition – Award of Merit: Alliance HSP renovation and reroof in Pennsauken, NJ. Thomas Phoenix International of Easthampton, NJ was the metal building erector for the 177,300 square-foot renovation, reconstruction and addition that involved five buildings. Metal Sales Corporation and American Buildings provided the metal buildings, metal roof and metal wall panels. Specialty – Award of Excellence: Cote Gold Mine Mill Building, Gogama, ON, Canada. Scott Steel Erectors, located in Hamilton, ON, Canada, served as the metal building erector for the 140,000-square- Specialty – Award of Merit: King County Loop Vehicle Maintenance Facility, North Bend, WA. Bahnmiller Construction of Everett, WA served as the metal building supplier and builder on the 12,000-square- Entries are judged by an outside panel of judges based on the following criteria: Aesthetics, Unusual or Interesting Features, Quality, Complexity, and Green Building Elements.
