  • Watershed Protection and the control and conservation of flood and storm waters for the protection of the watercourses, watersheds, public highways, life, and property in the district.

Matt LaVere, District 1, Chairman; Jeff Gorell, District 2 Supervisor; Kelly Long, District 3, Supervisor; Janice Parvin, District 4, Supervisor; Vianey Lopez, District 5, Supervisor; were each awarded a framed Certificate and hard hat complete with a graduation tassel!

The VCPWA University has been seen as a best practice model for other agencies in Ventura County who are now providing briefing classes for the Supervisors.

Some lucky Ventura County students watched the celebrations.  These were just a few of the 1,300 VC students enjoying a highly successful Public Works Day at the government center on Tuesday.
