REYKJAVIK, Iceland - May 15, 2023 - PRLog -- In the second episode of the podcast, Food Addiction: The Problem And The Solution, a recovered food addict is interviewed by Host Susan Branscome. Guest, Anna Maria, shares her inspiring journey from a lifetime of using food as a solution to cope with trauma and life stress. After many failed diets, she found herself weighing 286 pounds and on the eve of gastric bypass surgery. Instead, she elected to enter a food addiction treatment program where she learned that her food addiction disease was not her fault

"I am ever so thankful for MFM food addiction treatment center here in Iceland. The 4-month treatment program I participated in saved my life. Before recovery from my disease, my life was unmanageable and the quality of my life was quite low. Today I have tools and a sponsor to help guide me through rough weather patches that happen daily in every person's life. I stand tall and am grounded in my everyday life. I have said goodbye to 106 pounds of extra weight and many unhealthy ways to cope with life such as codependent behaviors. If my story can help someone still struggling with food addiction find a solution in their lives it is all worthwhile", shares guest Anna Maria S.
