NAPLES, Fla. - April 26, 2023 - PRLog -- The League Club awarded $29,369 to support the Mobile CRC. The Goodwill Mobile Community Resource Center (CRC) provides online services in areas where transportation is a barrier and enables Goodwill recruiters to do on-the-spot applications for employment at various community events. Some of the services offered by the Mobile CRC are online application assistance for SNAP, LIHEAP, SBA loans, Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP), assistance with navigating the Healthcare Network, free tax filing through VITA, and free digital skills training for those who want to become more independent navigating online.

"With this grant, we will be able to expand our Mobile CRC services to at least 500 more individuals in the Collier County area.  As a first-time grantee, we greatly appreciate the opportunity The League Club has given us to reach more individuals and help close the gap on digital equity and accessibility," says Carolyn Johnson, Sr. Vice President of Mission Services and Development.

President Denise Hadley said, "The heart and soul of The League Club is our Community Involvement Committee. For over 3 decades, the League Club has addressed critical needs of at-risk adults and children in the areas of food scarcity, shelter, education, and the arts through grants to nonprofit agencies in Collier and Lee Counties."
