Post COVID, Demand For Seats is More than Supply in Top Ranking Universities of the World

NAGPUR, India - April 15, 2023 - PRLog -- AFTER the COVID-19 pandemic the demand for overseas education has significantly increased from India. Some of the factors contributing to this growing trend is the rising income levels of middle-class and aspirations to secure a dream job, high pay package and a better lifestyle, said CA Pankaj Agrawal, Co-Founder and CEO of KC Overseas, IT Park. Agrawal further said that fewer seats available in premier education institutes of the country is also driving demand for premium overseas education. As a consequence, parents have changed their priorities and are giving utmost importance to children's education. Therefore, parents are heavily investing in overseas education where the chances of success is relatively more compared to our country.

"After COVID-19 it is the first time that the demand for seats is more than the availability in the top-ranking universities of the world," he said.

The most sought-after countries for premium education are USA, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, France, Sweden etc. About 70 per cent of the aspirants opt for Masters, while 30 percent go for bachelor's degree. Some of the most popular courses are the one-year Post Graduate Diploma programmes.

Aspirants mostly apply for Computer Science, AI, Business Analysis, Data Analytics and Management programmes. Overseas education costs about Rs 15 lakh to Rs 20 lakh per annum in a country like Canada.
