Helen Knoll Foundation Meets with California Senator Brian Jones to Discuss Breast Cancer Prevention

SAN DIEGO - April 11, 2023 - PRLog -- The Helen Knoll Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting breast cancer awareness and prevention, met with the office of California State Senate Minority Leader Brian Jones on March 29th to discuss potential legislation aimed at reducing the incidence of breast cancer in California.

The meeting was held with Lori Brown at Senator Jones' office and was attended by representatives from the Helen Knoll Foundation, including its founder, David Knoll, as well as expert on Vitamin D3 and Public Policy, Dr. Beth Sanford and Jen Aliano, Executive Director of Grassroots Health.

The group discussed the need for increased emphasis on primary prevention techniques, as well as the importance of access to these programs for all Californians.  They provided a 3-step process to provide primary prevention as part of the existing programs, Every Women Counts and Medi-Cal.

"We are grateful for the opportunity to meet with Senator Jones and discuss this important issue," said David Knoll. "Breast cancer is a devastating disease that affects so many families in our state and we believe that with the right legislation, we can make a significant impact in stopping breast cancer before it starts."

Senator Jones expressed his support for the Helen Knoll Foundation's mission and pledged to work with the organization to advance legislation aimed at preventing breast cancer.

The Helen Knoll Foundation plans to continue advocating for breast cancer prevention legislation in California and hopes to work with Senator Jones and other lawmakers to make a positive impact on breast cancer prevention.
