CALLISTO: the new-entry in COM technology by SECO

MILAN - April 11, 2023 - PRLog -- SECO announces the launch of the 13th generation Intel® Core™-based COM express® Type 6 module. Efficiency, high performance, and industry-class functionality fully meet the needs of IoT applications.

SECO kicks off 2023 under the flag of innovation with CALLISTO, the new COM Express® 3.1 Type 6 module based on cutting edge Intel technology. The 13th Generation Intel® Core™ processors, featuring design, graphics, and AI applications optimisation, deliver significant improvements in performance, data processing and connectivity. Their performance hybrid architecture, which combines multi-threaded performance-cores (P-cores) and single-threaded efficient-cores (E-cores), optimises processing and power consumption. Graphics performance is enhanced for an immersive video experience, through an 8K display or four simultaneous 4K displays, and up to 48 simultaneous 1080p streams via PCI Express 5.0.

With priority access to Intel technology, SECO accelerated the development of CALLISTO by designing a module for high-level applications that require continuous machine control (HPC, industrial automation and robotics), complex analysis or decision-making processes (imaging, safety and prevention), enhanced visual experiences (digital signage, human-machine interfaces). Networking capabilities are represented by a 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet interface with an Intel i225 GbE controller. Supported operating systems include Microsoft Windows 10 and Linux LTS Ubuntu.
