RP Hope Announces 2023 Spring Fundraiser

SAN FRANCISCO - March 30, 2023 - PRLog -- RP Hope, a non-profit organization dedicated to educating and funding research in pursuit of effective and affordable treatments for retinitis pigmentosa (RP), today announced that its 2023 Spring Fundraiser will take place on April 29, 2023.

From Australia to the United States, Singapore to Holland, England to Brazil, the RP Hope Spring Fundraiser seeks to bring together participants from across the globe to "see the world" in honor of RP Hope's mission. The annual fundraiser launched in 2021, and since then has grown to the global, virtually-connected event which brings together people to walk, run, bike or hike any distance from a cause.

This year, RP Hope has engaged with six "Faces of RP" to help tell their stories ahead of the Spring Fundraiser. Each of the six "Faces of RP" represents a unique journey through retinitis pigmentosa. Faces include:

• Cate Elam: Cait is a sophomore at Bryn Mawr, working to make her college campus more accessible
• Stephanie Chantele: Stephanie is a mom who bravely shares her journey with vision loss to inspire others
• Chad E. Foster: Chad is the author of Blind Ambition, motivational speaker, and executive coaching consultant.
• Steve Johnson & Michael Tubiak: Co-hosts of "The RP Show"
• Mia, Collin, & Laurent Lemay-Pelletier: Traveling the world with the brother and parents, creating visual memories, and sharing their story (follow @pleinleursyeux on Instagram)

"In our third year of the RP Hope Spring Fundraiser, we hope to use the momentum of our last two years and continue driving awareness in a fun, inclusive way for all," said Carin Elam, Development Director for RP Hope. "It has been an honor to see participants from around the world come together and help us not only see the world, but also bring awareness to this cause."
